Director Mings.

Directing films is a new journey I’ve embarked on in the year 2020. Whilst in quarantine, I grew a strong desire to make a statement about the world we were living in. As a black woman, I feel like our voices and experiences are minimized the most and are simply not represented even in the biggest pivotal shifts of the world. With my short film The End of the Rainbow, an adaptation of For Colored Girls by Ntozake Shange, I wanted to showcase the experience of black women in 2020. We get to see what these two women do behind closed doors during this time of self-discovery. While at home, they deal with grief, the height of the Black Lives Matter movement, isolation, heartache, spirituality, and most of all, healing.

I plan to continue my journey as a director and releasing more projects in the near future so look out for that!
